Watup! Good news. My album comes out August 18th. It's called Richie. You know who calls me Richie? My family. My closest friends. And now you can too.
On this album, I wanted to try and drop my guard a bit and let you guys into my world. There's some positivity, there's some partying, and there's some stories. It's a fun record, made during a hectic time in my life.
I moved out to LA pretty much ready to give up on being an artist. I wasn't actually sure what I was going to do but I knew it would be music related. But I'm stubborn and I kept on. Then The Wild Life happened. Then The Boogie. And though neither song was some massive smash I got to do what I love on my terms, and for that, I am thankful.
Today I also released a new song, "NY 2 LA," which is a song about me. It's a song about second chances. It's a song about starting fresh. It's a song about taking a leap of faith and following your dream.
I sang this song into my voice memo in the shower one day. Soon enough I sang it to some drums in a session with Frequency and DYLN and that day a song was born.
If you love this song, tag someone, tell someone, play it for someone. If you don't, don't. It's that simple.
